MIL-F-85668(AS)
3.2.1.6 Turret angular coverage. Turret angular coverage shall be limited
by both mechanical and electrical stops. The mechanical limit shall be defined
as the first point of contact with the stop mechanism. The electrical limit
shall be the point at which turret drive power is turned off and the gun is
cleared.
3.2.1.6.1 Azimuth. The mechanical stops shall allow the turret to
traverse 110 +1, -0 degrees in azimuth to the left and right of the straight
forward position. The electrical stops shall allow the turret to traverse
109.50 + 0.25 degrees to the left and right of the straight forward position.
3.2.1.6.2 Elevation.
The gun elevation limits shall be in accordance with
Table V.

1/ Electrical limit tolerance shall be +0.50 degrees and shall
activate prior to contacting the mechanical limit.
2/ The dynamic limit shall be defined as the maximum turret
saddle position that results from the following conditions.
With the electrical limit disabled, the dynamic limit is
reached when a fully equipped M197 gun or equivalent mass is
installed in the turret and elevated at the full elevation
slew velocity into the mechanical stop.
